4 starsI requested the book from netgalley, but when it came to it the cover just did not pull me in - I must learn that you can't always go by covers!
I couldn't put this down, I liked the writing style it's not over descriptive, the story flowed well, and I loved the characthers Lance oh Lance you were intriguing, guarded yet funny but cold at times when you shouldn't be! , but so much more underneath. Katie a strong professional woman with a crush on her new sexy boss, one that she can't ignore.
It's not instant love, lust yes, the word love comes up but not in the context of 'love', at the same time though feelings do develop.
This is not a massively long book, but the story came across as realistic yes he was her boss, he wasn't the CEO though - that makes a nice change !! Obviously it's not going to go that smoothly either as that would not be interesting.
Hotness - some sexy hot scenes that are well described, but not overdone as in his no Duracell, but to me that made it better more real.
I would recommend this book, it covers many emotions in the story, some of which could have been expanded on to make it longer, but at the same time it worked well for me how it was.
I would have loved an epilogue though, the big romantic softy I am.
Also with regard to the cover I wasn't overly keen on, after reading the book i see the cover corresponds well with the book and undertones of the story.
