Well this is book 8 of this series on a vampire clan. Zoe is the queen of the the clan, Booker umm sexy sexy booker is her alpha male, she has a beta male too Rider, and they manage to share their woman well, very well indeed ;)
In the previous book I was getting to know the characthers and back story, I felt more with it starting this book, but darn it was hot, Hawt, and hot. So much sex!!
I didn't feel a big connection between Rider and Zoe in previous book, but they certainly had a long and lengthy connection in this book!
As for story, well...... There is a story going on, Zoe has lost her shadow and its running wild, she has also found her purpose. The ménage relationship developed too and felt there emotions, was some very sweet moments to go with the steamy scenes. I would say half the book is sex, the other half story - but you know what it didn't matter to me as the sex scenes were fab **fans self**.
Now to explain things they have sex, and they mate, sex is sex but mating well all power to the lady, once mating is started the man cannot leave her body till she chooses to bite him and release him.
I'm going to give this 4 stars mainly because the sex is very good and is placed well in the story. I do believe if you picked this up as a one off read you would not rate it well, so would advise reading at least book 7 first.
